Tax Credit Program up to 5 years
Town of Stanstead currently offers a property tax credit program for some sectors defined in its territory, including the residential development of Domaine des Pionniers.
Thereby, land owners who are building a new home will be eligible, each year during the five years after the end of the construction, to a general property taxes reimbursement, in the following proportions:
- 1st year: 100% for the year of which the construction is completed, after the issuance of the certificate of the evaluator;
- 2nd year: 100%
- 3rd year: 80%
- 4th year: 60%
- 5th year: 40%
The program is intended for the added value on the land, whether the construction of the house and is only applicable for the general property taxes, thereby excluding any other taxes or pricings, whether as personal or service charges.
